What is it?

atLEAF CHL PLUS is a powerful, handheld, easy to use device for noninvasively measuring the relative chlorophyll content of green leaf plants. Chlorophyll content can be an indicator of the plant’s condition.

How does it work?

Plant relative chlorophyll concentration is measured by inserting a leaf into the device aperture. Green leaves of up to 0.1 inch (3mm) thickness can be measured. It only takes one press of the key to perform a basic measurement.

By utilizing the four atLEAF CHL PLUS keys you can:

• assign species names to the measurements; device can store up to 490 names
• view up to 9,554 measurements stored in the device’s memory
• delete the most recently performed measurement
• delete all measurements
• transfer plant names to the device or measurements to a computer using the USB mode
• display sensor temperature in °F and °C
• display time (*)
• perform and show average on selectable number of stored measurements

Each performed measure has associated device time and sensor temperature (*).

Specifications

We recommend testing the nitrate level every 1-2 weeks.

Oxygen is vital to the well being and overall condition of fish plants and filter bacteria. Water contains far less oxygen than air and at times it can become limiting. It is important to check oxygen levels from time to time particularly at warmer times of the year. The only way to check the oxygen level is with a Tetra Test Oxygen test kit.

How it works
The Tetra Test Oxygen test kit is a liquid kit which works by changing the colour of a water sample in relation to the oxygen concentration. You simply need to compare the colour of the sample to the enclosed colour chart to determine the oxygen level.

How to use
Take water from below the surface rather than at the surface. Pour out any excess water until the water level reaches the 15ml mark. Hold bottle number 1 upside down and add 5 drops to the test vial then hold bottle number 2 upside down and add 5 drops.press the lid back on and turn the vial upside down and back again once. A sediment will form in the vial.leave it to stand for 30 seconds. Remove the lid and hold bottle number 3 upside down and add 5 drops.press the lid back on and turn the vial upside down and back again twice. The sediment dissolves and test solution will turn violet/red. Compare the colour of the sample to the colour chart.
It is advisable to test oxygen levels first thing in the morning as this is when they are likely to be lowest.
Suitable for all freshwater and marine aquarium.

Ammonia Testkit TETRA

Ammonia (NH 3/4 + ) is excreted by fish directly into the water, and is also released from the breakdown of solid waste and uneaten food. Ammonia is highly toxic to fish, but is usually removed from the water by the bacteria which live inside the filter.

However, in new tanks, or if the filter bacteria are damaged, the ammonia level may become toxic. The only way to determine the ammonia level is by testing it with a TetraTest Ammonia kit. Regular testing, especially in new aquariums, will prevent damage caused by ammonia poisoning.

Application

We recommend testing for ammonia every 2-3 days in a new aquarium, and once a week in an established aquarium. Always read the instructions carefully before use. Nitrit Testkit TETRA

Tetra Nitrite NO2 Test.

The Tetra Test Nitrite kit is a liquid kit which works by changing the colour of a water sample in relation to the nitrite concentration. Compare the colour of the sample to the easy-to-read colour chart (supplied) to determine the nitrite level of the water in ppm (mg/litre). Full instructions for use supplied in box.

Nitrite is produced from the biological breakdown of ammonia in the filter. Nitrite is highly toxic to fish but is usually removed from the water by the bacteria which live inside the filter. However, in new tanks or if the filter bacteria are damaged, the nitrite level may become toxic. The only way to know what the nitrite level is is by testing for it with a TetraTest Nitrite kit. Regular testing especially in new aquariums will prevent damage caused by nitrite poisoning

Instructions: To test the nitrite level simply take a sample of aquarium water in a jug and then use some of this to wash out the test vial. Then

1. fill the vial to the 5ml mark
2. hold nitrite reagent bottle number 1 upside down and add 7 drops close vial and shake gently
3. After 10 seconds add 7 drops of nitrite reagent number 2 close vial and shake gently
4. Leave vial to stand for 2 to 5 minutes for full colour development.

Compare the colour of the liquid to the nitrite colour chart to obtain the concentration. Always read the instructions carefully before use. If nitrite levels are high then you should seek advice as to the underlying cause.
